Meet Dr. Blair Spiller DC, chiropractor and also the owner & founder of The Giraffe Cafe. After growing a busy and thriving practice in Round Rock for the last 3 years, she is thrilled to bring wellness to the East Austin and Downtown Community.
When Dr. Blair was in high school, she was a competitive dancer with a very active lifestyle. At age 16, she began suffering from debilitating rib cage pain that brought her life to a standstill. Desperate to find answers and return to her normal life, she went to several doctors who did assessments and ran tests, but everything came back normal. Increasingly frustrated, she began seeking alternative treatment options to alleviate the pain. When one of her best friends who was working as a Chiropractic Assistant suggested that she come see her Chiropractor, she decided it was worth a shot.
She started receiving regular chiropractic care, and all her pain dissipated. Not only was she pain free, but she noticed she could breathe easier, her lifelong allergies disappeared, and she was overall more energetic and positive. As her high school years progressed, she knew she wanted to become a chiropractor. The experience and journey back to health and wellness ignited a desire in her to help others heal through chiropractic care.
Dr. Blair’s personal passion for chiropractic care continued as she finished her Chemistry degree and was working in the Chemistry lab with the PhD students. At the time, Dr Blair was continuing her premed degree to be an Anesthesiologist. The PhD program received a grant to start making a neurology suppressant drug and in the experience Dr Blair knew she wanted to help people without drugs and surgery! That is when she dove in head first to become a neurology based Chiropractor.
After receiving her Bachelors in Chemistry, she went on to Parker University where she pursued an additional B.S. in Anatomy, a B.S. in Health and Wellness, and a certification in Applied Kinesiology. In 2014, she graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic. After years of study and clinical practice, she has come to believe that people of all ages can benefit from removing interference to their spine and nervous system.
Dr. Blair is trained in spinal corrective care, advanced nutritional diagnosis, detoxification programs, cranial-sacral work, gentle corrective adjustments, Webster technique, spinal rehabilitation, brain balance therapy, and health & wellness coaching.
Currently, Dr. Blair lives in Austin with her husband Nick. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding, doing yoga, and beating her husband at checkers.
